Joe Keatinge is an award winning American comic book editor and writer, best known as the co-editor of Popgun with Mark Andrew Smith. He is also a first cousin of Mayhaw Hoons, ex-bassist of Portland, OR indie rock band The Shaky Hands.
Biography
Joe Keatinge was born in Santa Monica, CA on June 11, 1982. After attending school in Portland, OR, he left for San Francisco, CA to pursue a career in comics, eventually working with Savage Dragon creator Erik Larsen, leading to his hiring at Image Comics shortly after Larsen became Publisher.
Keatinge's career at Image spanned various positions including PR & Marketing as well as Sales & Licensing. In addition, he's contributed to anthology titles such as Negative Burn with artist Evan Bryce and The Next Issue Project#1: Fantastic Comics #24 with artists Mike & Laura Allred. He's most well known for his work on the Eisner and Harvey award-winning anthology, PopGun, with co-editor Mark Andrew Smith.
